"Who is Carly Burruss?"

It was the most rewarding and fun… life-giving musical experience I’ve ever had… It will be tough to top that” reflects singer-songwriter, Carly Burruss, about her first Rock Boat and Sixthman Sessions. While Carly had never been on a Rock Boat prior to TRB XX, she is no stranger to Sixthman cruises. Carly had interned with Sixthman and later played on several charters, including Train SATS and even the legendary Gronk Cruise. Carly shares the excitement that she had when touring with Sister Hazel and getting invited to join the Rock Boat family. Carly relives her favorite memories from the boat - and gives much deserved love to a fellow female TRB XX artist.

"Who is Pat McGee?"

It’s the most well-run festival I’ve ever been involved with…” reflects singer-songwriter Pat McGee about his experience on The Rock Boat. This nine-time TRB legend joins Chris Rhoad and BoatCast Mark to reminisce on memories from the Boat that he helped build. Stephen Kellogg proclaimed Pat McGee as “the original Godfather of The Rock Boat” - and for good reason, Pat was one of the first artists to foster the spirit of collaboration by inviting fellow artists up onto stage for late night covers. Pat fondly recalls some of his favorite memories, including Edwin McCain reciting Braveheart, Zac Brown performing late night in the casino, and the ability to go down the waterslide mid-Lido deck show.

"Who is Alison Hammer?"

Alison Hammer is a Writer. Reader. Creative Director. Word-lover. Blogger. She is author of “You and Me and Us” and the upcoming novel, “Little Pieces of Me”. While that makes for quite an impressive resume, to fellow boaters, she holds the distinction of having been on every Rock Boat Charter that has ever sailed. Alison joined Chris Rhoad and BoatCast Mark to talk all things Rock Boat.  She is impressed by Sixthman’s ability to “Up their game every year.” From her last minute decision while at UF to hop on Rock n’ Roll as Sea (ie TRB I), to years of supporting Sister Hazel’s “Lyrics for Life” pediatric cancer charity, and more recently taking in all in as a fan - Alison brings a unique perspective that the podcast has not yet heard.

"Who is Patrick Murphy (of Gaelic Storm)?"

Nine-time Rock Boater, Patrick Murphy of Gaelic Storm joins Chris Rhoad and BoatCast Mark to talk all things Rock Boat. Sure, Patrick recently broke both legs jumping off of a balcony, but he’s still able to walk listeners through his favorite TRB memories.  Patrick opens up about getting introduced to the Boat and the initial fears that his Irish/Celtic rock might not fit in on the boat - I know, pretty ironic, as he has transformed into an icon of The Rock Boat family. Relive Patrick’s favorite memories of the boat, including finding an authentic local watering hole in Mexico, making a splash during his pool deck show, and his chance encounter with Dave Furukawa, “aka Dave the Blind Guy”.

p.s. Favorite drink on the boat??? (You might be surprised!)

They recall a “Sea of Green” in a packed Stardust Theater on St. Patrick’s Day Theme Night on TRB 14. Danny adds that one of the nicest things that’s ever been done for him in his music career, occurred on TRB, courtesy of Mr. Will Hoge.

They reveal the secret to soft serve on the boat (credit goes to fellow band member, HP). They share the most hilarious version yet of The Post-Rock Boat Blues.

"Who are Jack Weppler and Alex Laudani (of SCR)?"

Two-Time Rock Boaters, Jack Weppler and Alex “Lau” Laudani of Sir Cadian Rhythm (SCR) join Chris Rhoad and BoatCast Mark to talk all things Rock Boat. If there is one thing about SCR is that they always bring the energy - since their first boat performance on TRB XIX’s Sports Deck, to the Space Jam show and their epic Belize show in the scorching heat, these guys have always brought it… and this podcast does not disappoint.  They reveal lessons learned from XIX to XX and the growth of their fan base since joining the TRB family.

Lau and Jack reflect that words don’t do describing TRB justice and an individual needs to experience the 4 days of musical ecstasy to fully grasp the camaraderie, and sense of community on the boat.

It has received over 17 million streams and video views.

Kyle offers advice to future musicians on the importance of protecting your voice - and offers to all boaters a D.I.Y. alternative to on-board laundry services. How do the The Rosenberrys survive between Rock Boats? They bring multiple TRB artists directly into their living room, better known as The Rosendome, throughout the year. Hear them discuss the relationships they’ve developed with bands and fellow boaters alike. Hear them talk about the non-TRB Sixthman boats they’ve experienced and relive their favorite TRB memories, including the legendary Mimosa Mondays on the back of the boat. The guys of The BoatCast can’t wait for one of those famous “Sea Mom” hugs and to talk our mutual second favorite topic, IPAs, with Gordon on the next boat (or hopefully sooner at The Rosendome!!!)

Just as he does in his recent book, Objects in the Mirror: Thoughts on a Perfect Life from an Imperfect Person, SK speaks from the heart in this episode. He reflects on how The Rock Boat initially allowed him to live out his childhood dream of being a Rock and Roll Star but has grown to become a place that feels like Family. Stephen candidly shares that he had questioned his place in The Rock Boat Family after the breakup of SK6ers, but the incredible reception on TRB XX affirmed his place as a staple of The Boat. SK admires how Sixthman has never been complacent and is “always looking for new ways to connect us” - an endeavor that he has strived to emulate. Most recently, he is connecting fans despite COVID-19 social distancing through intimate shows via The Virtual Experience Tour (with the opportunity for Meet and Greets) and recent Deep Dive Thursdays.

TRB veterans Laura Levi and Lane Christianson join Chris Rhoad and BoatCast Mark to share some TRB secrets that they have picked up on the 10 boats between the dynamic duo. For example, have you ever considered ordering a double shot of Baileys before calling it a night and storing in the fridge to accompany that morning coffee in the room?
