"Who is Mike McFadden (of Animal Years)?
/“…It really didn’t settle in as far as how committed the fans are until the first show after we got announced… immediately people walked up to us and were like ‘We’re Rock Boaters’ and every show after that Rock Boaters were showing up” reflects Mike McFadden, lead singer of Animal Years.
Recorded shortly after the Animal Years addition to the TRB XXI lineup, McFadden joins Chris Rhoad and BoatCast Mark to talk all things Rock Boat. He credits his connections to a Rock Boat veteran, Krissie Callahan, who had been telling him and his band for years about the Boat - and credits Scott Terry to giving him the inside scoop on the Boat from an artist’s perspective.
While TRBXX was McFadden’s first boat, he has been making a huge impact on the TRB community with his live performances during the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, this singer’s “voice” extends beyond the stage, in his fight against racial injustice and he is excited for more inclusion on The Boat.
