It’s this weird merging of the two that you can’t really describe unless you do it…“ reflects Rob Griffith (drummer of Bronze Radio Return) about the unique nature of The Rock Boat.
Bandmate, Patrick “Packy” Fetkowitz (guitar) recalls their walk-on show on TRBXII as “the game changer for us… that’s what etched the rest of the history that we’ve had with Sixthman.” They go on to share their admiration for Sixthman including their ability to pivot with unforeseen circumstances, maintaining a good balance between returning artists & emerging artists, and how receptive they are to the guests’ feedback. This respect is clearly mutual, as the band has been on 5 boats in the last 8 years (though several of the band members sailed on TRBXI as well as guests).
