"Who is Beachmont?" Soundcheck XXIII

On this episode of The BoatCast - Soundcheck XXIII Edition, we are thrilled to welcome back Josh Polack and his Beachmont bandmates Tyler and Reeve.

Josh shares how much it means to him to be back on TRB, as he left TRB XXI with the impression that he would return. During the last sailing, The BoatCast received "Vote for Beachmont" shirts, a clear sign that his campaign started well before submitting for this year's Soundcheck. He cannot contain his excitement about how his life has transformed in the past year and expresses his gratitude to The Rock Boat family for helping him through his darkest times.

In his record 5th appearance on the podcast, Josh demonstrates his deep understanding of the Rock Boat community and proposes a chance to win a free cabin show if he makes it to the next round of voting. He surprises listeners with a mesmerizing 12-string acoustic-electric rendition of an iconic Rock Boat song, accompanied by sax and keys, that will undoubtedly resonate with Boaters (and no, it is not a Katy Perry song).

Remember, the next round of voting is approaching rapidly. Show your support for Beachmont and all the incredible musicians on the list by casting your vote at www.RockBoat.com/soundcheck before Wednesday, 8/23/23, at 3 PM ET!

"Who is Todd Carey?" Soundcheck XXIII

In the latest episode of The BoatCast, we were thrilled to host the remarkably talented musician, Todd Carey. We first had the opportunity to hang with Todd at Breakfast with The BoatCast while at Texafied 2022 (and we survived a Twister together). He is hopeful for the opportunity to hop on stage with fellow musicians to collaborate this January, identifying as a jam band musician. He's heard about TRB from friends and fans for over 20 years and is beyond excited to be chosen as a top 10 finalist for The Rock Boat Soundcheck.

"Who is Zac Barnett/American Authors - part III?"

The BoatCast is thrilled to welcome back Zac Barnett (of American Authors) to the podcast, where he reminisces about his favorite moments from TRB XXII.

Every Rock Boat is filled with unique moments. Perhaps THE highlight of this last boat was when American Authors played their new album, 'Best Night of My Life' in its entirety- and some of those songs have never been played live since. It was a magical moment for sure. Zac talks the thrill of collaboration and getting up on stage with Lit and singing their song "The Life That I Got".

As for the writing process of American Authors, Zac reflects on the genesis of the band's upcoming album. They had rented a house for 14 days and created most of the music while on site. Inspiration often struck during Zac's morning runs. Armed with an idea, he and the band would hit the studio. This next album is said to be more 'Rock' than any other they've released to date, and seems like a perfect reason to get them back on another boat ASAP. As we eagerly wait for its release, we are certain that American Authors will yet again redefine their sound and astound their fans

"Who is Gable Price?"

From Dreamboat to Rock Boat!

In this episode of The BoatCast, we are beyond thrilled to feature the talented artist, songwriter, and producer, Gable Price. Hailing from the wild Midwest and now residing in Redding, California, Gable Price and Friends’ music spans across genres like Pop, Country, Rock and Roll, and Christian contemporary.

Gable's musical journey began at a young age, learning Electric Guitar from his Dad. With his band "Chipotle and the Chicken Strips," he showcased his skills at a music festival. As he grew older, Gable's passion for music deepened when his father gifted him a Gibson Les Paul and invited him to be his Worship Leader Assistant. In 2017, Gable embarked on an adventure in his Dodge Camper van, lovingly named "The Dreamboat," and settled in Redding for his studies.

During this time, Gable formed a band with classmates Adam and Daniel, and together they recorded their debut EP "The Redding EP." Their musical collaboration continued, and they released their full-length album "Fractioned Heart." Now signed to Capitol Records CMG, Gable Price and Friends are gearing up to tour their latest album "The Consequence of Being Alive."

Join us on The BoatCast as we delve into Gable's inspiring journey, his passion for music, and his excitement for Rock Boat XXIII. He's a huge fan of the lineup and is hoping to collaborate with old friends and new!

In the spirit of Mother's Day, BoatCast would like to extend a "Happy Mother's Day" to all the moms out there. Today we are overjoyed to welcome a mother, fellow rock-boater, and entrepreneur Amanda Daubert of Front Rail Photography to the podcast. Amanda talks with us about how her husband encouraged her to start her photography business to now being able to capture moments for music festivals like the upcoming Let's Go! Music Festival. This year will be her first year attending Let's Go and she details some of the craziest stories about the other types of events she was able to capture. Amanda also gives the BoatCast a tour of the wall art she has collected over the years so check out our YouTube to see all that cool stuff. Lastly, Amanda gives up some spoilers of some of her upcoming gigs she will be capturing as well! With less than 3 weeks, we are excited to meet Amanda in person and anyone else attending Let's Go! Music Festival on June 2-4 in Annapolis, MD. It's not too late to get your tickets so go to https://www.letsgofest.com/ to purchase tickets!

"Who is Clinton Clegg? (of The Commonheart)

The BoatCast welcomes upcoming 1st time Rock Boat artist The Commonheart to the podcast. Led by frontman Clinton Clegg, The Commonheart is an eight-piece rock-n-soul group based in Pittsburgh, PA that offers vintage uplifting soul music with plenty of complimenting instruments. The rest of the band is made up of Abby Gross (saxophone), Mariko Reid (vocals), Anton DeFade (bass), Cole Insko (drums), Mike Minda (guitar), Lucas Bowman (keyboards), and Nate Insko (trumpet).

Clinton discusses the inner band dynamics and highlights the difficult logistics behind being a large band. He goes on to discuss the recent opportunities they had to work with Pittsburgh professional sports teams and how the band acts as a therapy for making him the best person he could be. Clinton also tells us how excited the band is to perform on next year's Rock Boat and how he looks forward to the collaboration opportunities with fellow Rock Boat artists.

The BoatCast wants to also give a huge "Kudos to Sixthman" for providing opportunity to larger size bands as it truly pinpoints the Rock Boat's music versatility.

Check out The Commonheart live in concert during their upcoming tour!
