Rock Boat XXII Top 22 Memories

Season 3 Premiere

The BoatCast kicks off Season 3 by reliving their favorite moments of Rock Boat 22.

Chris, Mark and Eammon discuss epic performances, connection with fellow boaters, and those moments that can only be had on TRB.

The BoatCast shares a goal of hearing more from fellow boaters this season as we think everyone on the cruise deserves a shoutout as everyone in attendance was a ripple of the whole Rock Boat experience!

After discussing Rock Boat 22, it was then time to start looking forward to getting ready for next year’s boat. There is no better guest for us to have on than Rock Boater Dr. Ali Novitsky to discuss setting healthy goals for the upcoming year.

Ali is board certified in obesity medicine, a certified personal trainer, and has a business that helps female physicians achieve optimal mental, physical, and emotional well being.

The guys of The BoatCast are committing to following Ali’s guidance so they can be in Ship Shape for XXIII. They invite you to follow them in their journey and stay tuned for some pearls that may help you on your own journey to wellness. Mark seemed sold on 40% greater longevity = 40% more Rock Boats.

"Ken Block on The Rock Boat"

Ken Block Talks Rock Boat

The BoatCast welcomes back Ken Block (lead vocals, guitar) of Sister Hazel for Part 2 of our conversation with him!

In this episode, Ken discusses all things Rock Boat beginning with the origin of Rock Boat to the crazy amount of logistics involved with keeping the boat running. In what started off as a half boat block, Ken discusses the difference from that to Sister Hazel chartering their own boat.

Ken also goes into all the different processes that go on in the background from booking artists to the thought behind maximizing the number of amazing artists.

The insight that Ken gives The Boatcast about how this ripple of Sister Hazel has turned into a well-oiled machine is a "must listen"!

PS... Ken also gets put on the spot to answer some Rock Boater questions The Boatcast received on social media, so make sure you listen until the end!.

"2022 Humble & Kind Award - JD Eicher"

JD Eicher Humble & Kind…

As we prepare for this season of giving, we take time to acknowledge a musician who gives all throughout the year, JD Eicher. JD has been an integral part of supporting SMARTS (https://smartsartschool.org), a Youngstown, OH program that helps to bridge the gap during and after school with arts curriculum. SMARTS offers a place where culture, design, and self-discovery are uniquely intertwined. Programming includes visual arts, music, dance, theater, and creative writing - in a time when opportunity in those areas might otherwise be eliminated.

JD was also recently a part of Texafied, a music festival in Birthright, TX supporting pediatric cancer and the MD Anderson Cancer Center (https://www.texafiedjamfest.com).

BOAT-O-BOMB ALERT!!! Listen in as a previous recipient of the Humble & Kind Award pops in to hand off the baton to JD.
